Job Summary

North Suffolk Community Services Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Music Therapist to join our Early Intervention Team. As a Music Therapist, you will be part of a professional multi-disciplinary team that provides developmental and expressive therapy to support children from birth to three years with developmental delays or at risk for delays.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Music Therapy and Board Certification in Music Therapy. Experience in infancy and early childhood special education is preferred. Spanish bilingual skills are also desirable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide EI screening, intake, evaluation, and assessment services.
  • Offer direct child developmental and family support/case management services.
  • Participate in the development and execution of Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs).
  • Collaborate with client families and the EI team to identify concerns, priorities, and resources.
  • Refer clients for discrete/specialized child therapies and case management services when necessary.
  • Coordinate intervention services with medical, state, and health providers.
