Job Summary

Salamander DC is seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Overnight Front Desk Associate to join our team. As a key member of our front desk team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service, handling guest requests, and ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Service: Greet and warmly welcome guests upon arrival, register guests into the system, and verify reservation information.
  • Front Desk Operations: Apply payment to guests' accounts, post miscellaneous charges, and handle cash transactions, including foreign currency exchange.
  • Communication: Respond to guest requests in a timely and efficient manner, handle guest complaints, and provide information regarding hotel facilities and local attractions.
  • Administrative Tasks: Log and update opportunities into the HOTSOS system, record guest preferences, and update guest profiles.
  • Team Collaboration: Assist guests with business needs, such as printing documents, and escort guests to their rooms and perform room orientations.
Requirements
  • Education: High school or equivalent education required.
  • Age: Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Language: Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English used in the workplace.
  • Skills: Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written, basic computational ability, and basic computer skills.

Salamander DC is a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. As an Overnight Front Desk Associate, you must be able to work effectively in a stressful environment, communicate with others, and effectively deal with customers and accept constructive criticism from supervisors.
