Job Role: Customer Service Representative

Reports To: Branch Manager

Employment Status: Non-Exempt

Compensation Level: NE8 ($18.00 per hour)

Supervisory Duties: None

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Customer Service Representative is responsible for delivering exceptional service to clients. This role involves accurately processing transactions and adhering to all operational and security protocols to ensure customer confidentiality.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist clients with various cash and non-cash transactions, including check cashing, deposits, loan payments, and account inquiries.
  • Manage the night drop and perform daily balancing of Automated Teller Machines.
  • Maintain accurate cash drawers and ensure the workspace is organized and compliant with bank standards.
  • Safeguard all confidential records and maintain necessary logs for compliance.
  • Promote the bank's products and services to support branch growth.
  • Enhance knowledge of banking practices and sales techniques through ongoing training and education.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in customer service and cash handling.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Team-oriented with a collaborative spirit.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior experience in the banking industry.

WORK SCHEDULE:

This is a full-time role with hours aligned to branch operations:

Monday 9:00am – 5:00pm

Tuesday 9:00am – 3:00pm

Wednesday 9:00am – 5:00pm

Thursday 9:00am – 6:00pm

Friday 9:00am – 6:00pm

Saturday 9:00am – 1:00pm

Sunday Closed

Employees are expected to arrive before opening and stay after closing for operational needs.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

Occasional travel may be required as needed.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS:

Proficiency in the primary language(s) used in the workplace is essential; bilingual abilities are advantageous. The ability to read and interpret business information is necessary.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Employees must be able to:

  • Lift 10 to 20 lbs.
  • Stand for extended periods.
  • Handle cash and operate office equipment.
  • Communicate effectively in person and via telephone.
