Job Summary

BayMark Health Services is seeking a compassionate Substance Use Counselor to join our team in a dynamic and supportive environment. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in helping patients overcome opioid addiction and achieve long-term recovery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct individual assessments and evaluations to determine service eligibility
  • Develop and review treatment plans with patients, ensuring a comprehensive approach to their care
  • Provide individual and group counseling services, including crisis management and coping strategies
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
  • Respond to patient grievances and complaints in a timely and professional manner
  • Develop aftercare plans and discharge plans to support patients' continued progress
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Behavioral Science or related field, with a minimum of 3+ years of individual counseling experience
  • Master's Degree in Behavioral Science with a minimum of 2 years of individual counseling experience
  • Previous experience working with chemically dependent individuals is a plus
  • LADC I or LADC II certification is a plus
  • Must demonstrate a positive, non-judgmental, and accepting attitude toward patients
  • Satisfactory criminal background check and drug screen
