We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Substance Abuse Counselor Supervisor to join our team at BayMark Health Services. As a Counselor Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality counseling services to our patients. You will supervise a team of counselors and interns, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure efficient and effective delivery of counseling services to all patients
  • Monitor treatment and counseling of all patients
  • Assign caseloads to counselors and make adjustments as needed
  • Screen potential patients and determine eligibility
  • Supervise intake operations and review intake assessments for quality
  • Direct pre-admission decisions, case reviews, and counseling meetings to ensure services are provided in accordance with policies and procedures
  • Facilitate intakes and conduct quality assurance file reviews
  • Review and countersign assessments and treatment plans for quality and accuracy
  • Manage all counseling staff, including performance improvement discussions and follow-up
  • Assist with interviews for open positions and new hire training
  • May be required to counsel a caseload of patients
  • Assist with completing incident reports and patient death reports
  • Provide guidance and support to counselors seeking licensure and certification
  • Oversee counselor-related annual trainings and ensure trainings are completed
  • Facilitate employee performance discussions and evaluations
  • Communicate clinic, employee, and patient concerns to employees and leadership
  • Attend staff meetings and assist with program development activities

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Behavioral Science required
  • LICSW or LMHC required
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in addiction treatment and case management
  • 1 year of supervisory experience, self-motivated and directed
  • Positive attitude toward chemically dependent patients and previous experience working with this population
  • Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check
  • Bi-Lingual is a plus
