Sign-On Bonus: $1,000-$3,000 based on experience

Position Summary:

Under minimal supervision, you will conduct diagnostic and service tasks on residential and light commercial HVAC systems and components. You will engage with customers to address inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure complete satisfaction. You will also promote products and services to clients while working under the guidance of a Field Supervisor or General Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform residential and light commercial service and maintenance calls with minimal oversight
  • Analyze, diagnose, and resolve customer issues in a professional and timely manner
  • Service heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration systems accurately and efficiently
  • Inspect equipment and conduct diagnostics to identify potential issues, preventing premature failures
  • Complete routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment as required
  • Manage the delivery and collection of parts and equipment necessary for service tasks
  • Document all required information on customer interactions using a handheld device; complete forms accurately
  • Maintain communication with dispatch to provide accurate status updates
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain high satisfaction levels
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of company property, vehicles, and tools
  • Represent the company with professionalism and integrity in all business interactions
  • Follow standard operating procedures, ensuring vehicle stock is maintained and defective parts are returned
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance
Health & Safety Responsibilities:
  • Report any unsafe acts or conditions to your supervisor immediately
  • Notify your supervisor of any violations of legislation or company policies
  • Address substandard conditions within your control
  • Utilize and maintain appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Never disable safety devices or equipment
  • Comply with general safety rules as outlined by company policies
  • Operate equipment as per company guidelines
  • Participate in safety initiatives and committees
  • Report all injuries or incidents as per company procedures
  • Contribute to the development of safety initiatives to mitigate risks
  • Avoid actions that may jeopardize the safety of others
  • Refrain from engaging in pranks or unsafe behavior
  • Work in compliance with applicable legislative requirements
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED, with 0-2 years of experience in a technical role, or prior experience as an Installer or Maintenance Technician
  • Possess all necessary licenses or certifications as mandated by local, state, or federal regulations
  • EPA and safety certifications are required
  • Knowledge of heating, air conditioning, and ventilation systems and their components
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to operate necessary tools and equipment
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams and troubleshoot HVAC electrical and refrigerant systems
  • Skilled in starting up and balancing airflow and aligning belts and pulleys with minimal supervision
  • Capable of installing basic duct fittings
  • Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing various HVAC systems
  • Effective communication skills to address customer concerns
  • Strong time-management and organizational skills
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and on-call shifts as needed
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, and maneuver in various environments
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
