The Texas Institute for Electronics (TIE) is a semiconductor consortium of state and local government, preeminent defense electronics and semiconductor companies, national labs, and nationally recognized academic institutions. Our mission is to develop and execute a state-of-the-art 3D Heterogeneous Integration manufacturing technology roadmap, providing critical pilot manufacturing capabilities to address national security needs and catalyze domestic economic growth.
Job DetailsWe are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help us push the boundaries in critical semiconductor domains, including advanced packaging. With over $1 billion in funding from the US DoD and the state of Texas, we are at the forefront of creating cutting-edge semiconductor manufacturing equipment and processes that will set the course for future advancements in semiconductor logic, memory, heterogeneous integration, chip cooling, and more.
Responsibilities- Conduct software development for novel semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
- Assist in researching and procurement of various equipment sub-systems.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong software development skills in a variety of languages, including C, C++, Python, or some other combination of low-level and high-level languages.
- Expertise with MATLAB, Simulink, or related control and simulation software.
- Strong understanding of software structure, architectural design, and object-oriented programming, as well as build systems, revision control, and software lifecycle management.
- Experience writing and working with software requirements and specifications.
- Five years' experience in software engineering or other relevant disciplines.
- Goal-oriented and ability to prioritize and multitask.
- Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a collaborative team environment.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
