Job Title: Senior Staff Application EngineerJob Summary

Renesas Electronics is seeking a highly skilled Senior Staff Application Engineer to join our Power Management IC team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the development and qualification of high-performance DC-DC power converter products, as well as working with Field Applications Engineers and external customers to bring these products into production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development of innovative and differentiated power management IC products.
  • Perform product validation and characterization, including setup and execution of Simplis simulations of power converter circuits and systems.
  • Develop technical documentation, such as datasheets, application notes, and design guidelines.
  • Train Field Applications Engineers and customer engineers on power converter products and technologies.
  • Provide customer support, including offsite support at customer facilities.
  • Work closely with local and remote teams to perform the tasks listed above.
  • Influence design architecture development and contribute to the development of new products and technologies.
Qualifications
  • Education: MSEE with an emphasis in Power Electronics, or PhD with an emphasis in Power Electronics.
  • 8+ years of applicable experience as a Principle Applications Engineer, or 6+ years of applicable experience as a Principle Applications Engineer with a PhD.
