About the Role

The University of Texas at Austin is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team at the Texas Institute for Electronics. As a key member of our software development team, you will play a critical role in designing and developing software for novel semiconductor manufacturing equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct software development for semiconductor manufacturing equipment, leveraging expertise in C, C++, Python, and other languages.
  • Assist in researching and procuring equipment sub-systems, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned, contributing to the success of our semiconductor manufacturing efforts.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong software development skills, with expertise in software structure, architectural design, and object-oriented programming.
  • Experience writing and working with software requirements and specifications.
  • Five years' experience in software engineering or related disciplines.
  • Goal-oriented, with ability to prioritize and multitask.
  • Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
