Behavioral Health Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Health Technician III to join our team at WellSpan Philhaven. As a key member of our inpatient program, you will work collaboratively to provide therapeutic interventions and support to clients and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute individual treatment plans for clients
- Provide day-to-day oversight of all therapeutic activities
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy using a range of techniques
- Maintain awareness of client history, present status, and precautions
- Collaborate with other staff to provide input into treatment plans
- Orient family members to therapeutic services and program specifics
- Exhibit clinically appropriate relational skills
- Manage behavioral crises, including 1:1 observation, redirection, and physical restraint
- Write behavioral management plans for acute patients
- Complete assessments as needed
- Assist with medication administration and recording
- Communicate client progress and participate in weekly treatment team planning
- Maintain ongoing professional relationships with schools, public agencies, and mental health facilities
- Address and resolve client funding matters
- Conduct inter-agency meetings as necessary
- Collaborate in treatment and discharge plans with clients, guardians, and community agencies
- Provide transportation for clients as needed
- Bachelor's degree in a clinical discipline, such as social work, psychology, nursing, or rehabilitation
- 1 year of behavioral health experience or 1 year of social science experience
- Basic Life Support certification
- Driver's License
- Excellent human relations and oral/written communication skills
- Analytical skills
- Organization and time management
- Mental and visual ability to observe client behavior and document findings
- Teaching ability
- Customer service awareness and capability
This role requires standing, walking, and sitting frequently, as well as carrying, lifting, pushing, and pulling occasionally. The occupational hazards and bloodborne pathogen exposure are present in this role.
