Position Overview:
The Construction Project Manager will take the lead on various construction initiatives, encompassing new fulfillment centers and corporate office developments. This role involves overseeing both new constructions and renovations, as well as implementing innovative business strategies. The Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, directing, and supervising internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors across multiple projects, ensuring timely and budget-compliant completion. They serve as the primary communication link for all stakeholders involved. The ideal candidate will exhibit exceptional organizational skills and possess a comprehensive understanding of all project dimensions, alongside robust project management capabilities. This role also includes ensuring that the quality system is established within the designated timeline and budget. Furthermore, the Project Manager will spearhead the standardization of the Construction, Launch, and Facilities (CLF) Team's process documentation and standard operating procedures that contribute to a successful project launch. This encompasses thorough follow-up post-launch, detailed lessons learned analysis, and ongoing enhancement of the launch process. The perfect candidate will blend extensive operational knowledge with strong program management expertise to guarantee on-time and on-budget project delivery while upholding the highest quality and operational efficiency standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning: Develop, publish, and maintain a comprehensive project schedule with milestones for all cross-functional stakeholders. Create bid packages, negotiate any amendments to vendor proposals, and facilitate changes in project scope. Formulate a detailed commissioning plan and manage acceptance testing, overseeing vendor commissioning activities to ensure operational acceptance. Project Execution: Monitor project advancement, address potential delays, and communicate project status to leadership promptly. Ensure seamless communication and data exchange between operations, vendors, and internal stakeholders. Oversee contract compliance to guarantee quality and timeliness of services and deliverables. Travel Requirements: Travel as a project manager is necessary and may reach up to 75% depending on current project assignments.

Qualifications:

Education: A Bachelor's degree in business administration, Project Management, or a related discipline. PMP or equivalent project management certification is preferred. Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of project management experience, ideally within a start-up or rapidly growing environment. A proven history of successfully managing projects from inception to completion. Skills: Strong analytical and communication skills (including math, statistics, quantitative methods, and proficiency in verbal and written communication). Conduct business requirements analysis and design. Serve as the primary liaison between operations leadership and vendors. Perform gap analysis between existing processes and future operational needs, with the ability to evaluate project requests and prioritize them effectively. Establish structured prioritization and change management processes. Identify and propose operational improvement opportunities to meet evolving business demands. Proficient in computer applications – Office, Project, CAD. Familiarity with contract language and accounting functions. Experience in managing cross-functional teams. Must possess knowledge of warehouse operations, manufacturing, and/or materials handling systems.
