Job Summary:

The Centralized Sterilization Specialist will work as a team member and be responsible for providing support to the total healthcare team at MultiCare Health System by cleaning, sterilizing, and packaging instruments, maintaining inventory, and transporting supplies and equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Clean, sterilize, and package instruments in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment, ensuring that all necessary items are available and in good working condition.
  • Transport supplies and equipment as needed, ensuring timely delivery and minimizing disruptions to patient care.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure that all instruments and equipment are properly cleaned, sterilized, and maintained.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure that all processes and procedures are optimized for patient care and safety.

Requirements:

  • High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
  • Completion of Central Service Technician course of study or completion of healthcare organization training program.
  • Central Service Certification or commitment to obtain within one year of hire, as required by location.
  • Minimum one (1) year of related experience preferred.
