Position Title: Sterile Processing Technician

Overview:
As a vital member of the healthcare team, the Sterile Processing Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness and safety of medical instruments and supplies. This position is essential for maintaining high standards of hygiene and infection control within the facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform thorough cleaning of medical supplies to eliminate contaminants and waste.
  • Prepare and package sanitized supplies for the sterilization process.
  • Operate and monitor sterilization machinery to ensure optimal performance.
  • Conduct meticulous inspections of supplies to confirm proper sanitation.
  • Identify and report any malfunctions or issues with sterilization equipment.

Employment Type:
Contract, Travel Nursing

Compensation:
Competitive weekly pay of $1,650.00

Work Schedule:
  • 5 days a week
  • 8-hour shifts
  • Evening shifts
  • Monday through Friday

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
  • Minimum of 3 years of recent experience as a Sterile Tech (required).
  • Experience in specialized areas such as Spine, Neuro, CV, DaVinci, GYN, and Colorectal.
  • 1 year of experience in ENT (required).

Certifications:
  • Current BLS certification from AHA (required).
  • Valid Sterile Tech certification (required).

Commute Requirements:
Preference for candidates residing in proximity to the work location.

Work Environment:
This position requires in-person engagement in a healthcare setting, contributing to the overall safety and efficiency of medical operations.
