Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Water Resources Engineer to join our team at Stantec. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for designing and analyzing water resources systems for transportation projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform hydrologic and hydraulic design tasks, including stormwater management, drainage, and erosion & sediment control analysis and design.
  • Provide technical assistance to the transportation team in areas of hydrologic, hydraulic, scour, and water quality design and analyses.
  • Independently manage and perform hydrologic and hydraulic design tasks, reports, and studies.
  • Assist in plan development and cost estimating.
  • Maintain adherence to project schedules and milestones.
  • Participate in field work as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Civil, Environmental, or Water Resources Engineering from an accredited college or university.
  • Engineer in Training (E.I.T.) or Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration in Maryland, Virginia, and/or District of Columbia.
  • 3-5 years' experience in transportation water resources design and analysis for a professional engineering firm.
