Design Engineer - Transportation

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer - Transportation to join our team at EBA Engineering, Inc. (EBA). As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for designing roadway alignments, intersections, drainage, utilities, and transportation facilities using industry-standard software.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop comprehensive transportation plans and designs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Develop roadway geometry and prepare engineering calculations and technical reports
  • Prepare engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates for transportation projects
  • Ensure projects adhere to quality control and safety standards
  • Participate in client and public meetings to communicate project details and progress

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
  • 5+ years of experience designing roads, highways, and associated infrastructure
  • Proficiency in MicroStation, AutoCAD, Bentley InRoads, Autodesk Civil 3D, and AutoTURN
  • Must possess an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of AASHTO, FHWA, and MDOT design codes and standards
