The Sales Leadership Development Manager will be responsible for driving the development and growth of sales relationships with existing and prospective customers to deliver tailored logistics solutions. This is a challenging, fast-paced role where you can make an immediate impact and have tremendous opportunities for career advancement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team in establishing brand recognition, rapport, and arranging meetings with potential clients.
  • Analyze key performance indicators, track performance, errors, and weekly/monthly/quarterly volume and revenue figures.
  • Pursue new business opportunities through internet research, phone calls, referrals, and networking.
  • Identify and research organizations and individuals to find new business opportunities.
  • Develop and execute plans to build a pipeline, including heavy cold-calling, to meet sales targets.
  • Create and implement strategies to expand into new markets and increase sales revenue.
  • Plan and oversee marketing initiatives to attract new customers and grow existing customer relationships.
  • Establish client relationships, provide customer service, and negotiate prices and services with customers.
  • Develop solutions based on customer needs and requirements.
  • Foster business relationships and identify opportunities for Forward Air.
  • Understand and manage customer needs, executing shipments according to customer specifications.
  • Generate new sales revenue independently for your team.
  • Translate business opportunities into incremental revenues through strong selling techniques.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously with a sense of urgency.
  • Analyze market trends and seasonality.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in sales leadership.
  • Must have LTL Transportation experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • Passion for sales and drive to succeed.
  • Experience managing a team to accomplish tasks and goals.
  • Self-motivated problem solver with a desire to meet customer needs.
  • Ability to develop long-term relationships.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Desire for a long-term career with a leading company like Forward Air.
  • Ability to present and maintain a positive corporate image in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactively establish and maintain effective working relationships with support departments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
  • Will to work flexible hours.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and manage time effectively.
Salary and Benefits:

We are offering a competitive salary of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits such as health insurance, retirement plan, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
