Job Summary:

The Human Resources Manager will work closely with company leadership and management to identify training needs and develop training processes. This position will also be responsible for implementing recruiting strategies, filling open positions to support company growth, and handling employee relations issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research, administer, and conduct company training programs for all supervisory, lower-level management, and hourly positions
  • Develop and conduct new-hires orientation program to ensure thorough understanding of company policies and procedures, benefits, and expectations
  • Assist with employee relations events and provide support and guidance to management teams on employee relations issues
  • Monitor performance and provide training/feedback
  • Respond to employee questions and concerns, initiate investigations into complaints, and refer employees to alternate information sources when appropriate
  • Exemplify the Hawks Cay Resort culture by conducting yourself in a confidential and professional manner
  • Act as the liaison between the HR department and employees, providing excellent service and hospitality to everyone on the team
  • Serve as the point of contact for employee concerns, complaints, and maintain our policy against harassment in all locations
  • Follow established safety and security policies and procedures, anticipate problems, and ask for assistance as needed
  • Handle unemployment, workers' comp, and disability insurance issues
  • Develop a routine schedule of inspections, maintenance, and house cleaning for all units, ensure timely upkeep, and report to the Director of Human Resources as needed
  • Conduct final inspections when employees leave, evaluate the condition of the unit, and determine deposit refunds as appropriate
  • Report immediately to the Director of Human Resources or Manager-on-Duty any violations of company and housing policies, and assist in the eviction of any tenants when necessary
  • Accountable for resort security procedures and security staff
  • Issue uniforms and maintain inventory, ensure proper documentation is provided for payroll deductions
  • Assist with compliance, including internal I9 audits, wage, and hour laws
  • Assist with various administrative and project management processes associated with engagement surveys, performance management, succession planning, etc.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area
