Funding and Grant Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Funding/Grant Coordinator to join our team at The Mannik & Smith Group, Inc. in Michigan.

The successful candidate will be responsible for researching, coordinating, and managing funding opportunities from various sources, including transportation (state and federal funds), infrastructure, and development projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct in-depth research to identify relevant funding opportunities from state and federal agencies, as well as private foundations and other sources.
  • Stay up to date with the latest funding trends, application deadlines, and eligibility criteria.
  • Develop and write comprehensive grant proposals in collaboration with internal teams, ensuring alignment with the firm's capabilities and project goals.
  • Monitor the progress of grant applications and provide feedback to internal teams on how to continuously improve these strategies.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local, state, and federal agencies involved in providing funding for municipal projects.
Requirements:
  • Thorough knowledge of private, federal, state, regional, and local grant and funding processes and opportunities.
  • Thorough knowledge of quality management and process improvement principles.
  • Strong skills in Project Management and making effective written and oral presentations.
  • Skill in analyzing opportunities and developing proposals.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and organize information.
  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering, public administration, political science, or related field of study.
