Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Support Services Specialist to join our team at Innovative Network Of Knowledge. This role is responsible for providing critical support to our programs, ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our children, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and maintain a safe and healthy environment for children, including adhering to federal policies and agency protocols.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of INK policies and procedures.
  • Provide exceptional support to teachers and staff, ensuring they have the resources and information needed to provide high-quality care.
  • Conduct daily cleaning and maintenance of facilities, including classrooms, offices, bathrooms, and common areas.
  • Assist with meal preparation, serving, and cleanup, as well as laundry and linen services.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory control of cleaning supplies and equipment.
  • Perform routine inspections and upkeep of interior and exterior areas to ensure safety and cleanliness.
  • Assist with moving and transporting office and classroom furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Participate in staff development and training, including completion of minimum training requirements.
  • Perform other job duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Demonstrate ability to respond sensitively and competently to the service population's cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
  • Communicate effectively in English and Spanish (preferred).
  • Demonstrate ability to maintain emotional control and professional composure at all times.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of all INK policies and procedures.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize duties and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Possess a valid driver's license.
  • Complete and pass health and background checks.
  • Required to lift up to 60 pounds and stand, sit on the floor, bend, squat, kneel, and engage with children.
  • Exposure to communicable diseases and other hazards.
  • Travel up to 50% for conferences, meetings, and other duties.
