Job Summary

As a Provider Credentialing Specialist at Specialty Management Services of Ouachita, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our healthcare services. Your primary responsibility will be to work with the provider credentialing team and client representatives to ensure all client providers are enrolled and current with all insurance contracts.

You will work closely with the team to maintain effective communication with supervisors and other staff, ensuring that all necessary information is shared and that tasks are completed efficiently. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will be essential in maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Work with the provider credentialing team to ensure all client providers are enrolled and current with all insurance contracts.
  • Maintain effective communication with supervisors and other staff to ensure that all necessary information is shared and that tasks are completed efficiently.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks and projects, including data entry and record-keeping.
  • Collaborate with the team to identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Stay up-to-date with regulatory requirements and industry developments to ensure compliance and best practices.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years health care experience.
  • Experience in physician's office, medical records, revenue cycle, or other health-related field advantageous.
  • Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) preferred.
