CommuniCare Family of Companies is seeking a dedicated Culinary Director to lead our culinary team.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Culinary Director plays a crucial role in guiding the culinary staff to ensure that care standards are upheld. This position requires collaboration as a team member, leadership as a supervisor, and a commitment to delivering quality care while celebrating team achievements. Key responsibilities include:
  • Overseeing culinary operations in alignment with established policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring adequate staffing levels to provide exceptional resident care.
  • Supervising the orientation and training of new culinary team members.
  • Implementing menus and recipes while maintaining high culinary standards.
  • Assigning shifts and monitoring performance of culinary staff.
  • Maintaining quality food services through hands-on management, including cooking and tasting.
  • Facilitating communication between culinary staff and other departments regarding resident needs.
  • Ensuring adherence to departmental policies and procedures.
  • Staying informed about operational aspects of the culinary department.
  • Managing resources effectively to ensure quality care for all residents.
  • Delivering professional culinary services to enhance resident satisfaction.
  • Complying with established policies, objectives, and safety standards.
  • Participating in training and educational programs to maintain licensure and enhance care quality.
  • Providing leadership and support to the culinary team.
