Rocket Propulsion Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Propulsion Engineer to join our team at Stoke Space. As a key member of our engine development team, you will be responsible for designing and developing our next-generation rocket engine.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop our full-flow staged combustion engine
- Develop and maintain robust vehicle interfaces and engine-vehicle installation approaches
- Drive the design and architecture of numerous rocket engine system components and interfaces
- Develop and maintain robust vehicle interfaces and engine-vehicle installation approaches
- Help execute the engine build plan and procure and manage ancillary hardware for engine builds
Requirements:
- Extensive experience with CAD tools and configuration management
- Experience managing large CAD assemblies and associated drawings
- Fundamentals in GD&T, tolerance stackups, and material selections especially for oxygen compatibility
- Experience with detailed mechanical design including machined parts, additive parts, weldments, fasteners, seals, and especially assemblies
- Proficiency with mentoring and training designers
- Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals and ability to apply that knowledge in practical ways to a fast-paced development program
- Hands-on experience performing fabrication, assembly, and/or testing
- 5+ years of experience in design, build, and testing of rocket engine systems
- Ability to lead and follow
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or similar

Target Levels:
Level 3 Range: $123,000 - $184,400
Level 4 Range: $144,100 - $240,100
