About the Role

At Relativity Space, we're pushing the boundaries of aerospace technology and additive manufacturing innovation. As a Principal Propulsion Development Engineer, you'll play a critical role in shaping the future of our medium-to-heavy lift reusable rocket, Terran R. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving engine system trades, managing interfaces, and negotiating requirements to optimize for the vehicle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive engine system architecture and CONOPS trades to optimize performance and efficiency
  • Manage engine interfaces and negotiate requirements with cross-functional teams
  • Support engine system development, including analysis, simulation, testing, and tool development
  • Mentor and guide the team, while also learning from mentors and peers
About You

We're looking for a seasoned engineer with a strong background in propulsion systems, fluid mechanics, and thermodynamics. You should have a bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least 11 years of experience in complex engineering system development and/or test environments. Experience with liquid-propellant rocket engines is a must.

What We Offer

At Relativity Space, we offer a competitive salary and equity package, a generous PTO and sick leave policy, parental leave, an annual learning and development stipend, and more. We're an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.
