Sous Chef Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Sous Chef to join our team at Pyramid Global Hospitality. As a key member of our kitchen operations, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in the day-to-day management of the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the activities of the line cooks to ensure efficient food production and high-quality dishes.
  • Oversee food production operations to maintain quality standards and ensure consistency in presentation and taste.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop and implement new menu items and specials.
  • Manage kitchen inventory and supplies to minimize waste and optimize resource utilization.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to motivate and guide the kitchen team.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and maintain a calm demeanor in fast-paced situations.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
