About the Role

We are seeking a Transmission Line Project Engineer to become a key member of our innovative team, tackling challenges in the design of high-voltage transmission lines. This role offers the chance to work on overhead utility systems, specifically focusing on high-voltage (HV) and extra-high-voltage (EHV) projects.

Your Responsibilities

As a Lead Engineer, you will:

  • Oversee electric transmission design projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards such as NESC, NEC, and ASCE.
  • Utilize your expertise to engineer and design overhead electrical systems, voltage conversion initiatives, and infrastructure upgrades.
  • Lead a high-performing engineering team, managing client relationships, proposal development, and project management tasks.
  • Conduct independent engineering analyses and prepare essential bidding documents, plans, and specifications.
  • Collaborate with various teams on material procurement, construction documentation, and project planning.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a minimum of four years of relevant experience in electric utility transmission system design.
  • Proficiency in reviewing comprehensive transmission line designs, including PLS-CADD models and construction packages.
  • Familiarity with NESC, ACI, AISC, and ASCE code requirements, as well as project schedules and construction specifications.
  • Ability to develop project scopes, budgets, and proposals effectively.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with clients and project teams.
  • Leadership experience is required for senior-level positions.
  • Willingness to work in client offices and travel as necessary.
  • Proficient in PLS-CADD, POLE, LPILE or FAD Tools, and Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications

  • EIT, FE, or Professional Engineer (PE) License.
  • Experience with PLS Tower, Bentley MicroStation, Bentley ProjectWise, Mathcad, and Autodesk AutoCAD.
  • Background in construction management and support.
