Healthcare Patient Liaison / Reception Specialist

We are in search of a dedicated and empathetic healthcare patient liaison with prior experience to assist in the care of individuals facing behavioral health challenges. This position involves collaborating closely with our healthcare providers and support staff in our outpatient facilities, ensuring a warm welcome for patients and visitors through personal greetings or telephone interactions, and addressing inquiries effectively. The role is pivotal in enhancing patient satisfaction and optimizing the use of treatment rooms by managing appointment scheduling both in-person and via phone.

The responsibilities encompass a vital part of our clinic's operations. This is a Full-Time position.
Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


• Supporting documentation and order management

• Performing administrative tasks such as answering calls, welcoming patients, managing check-in/out processes, scheduling appointments, obtaining prior authorizations, filing insurance documents, and updating medical records

• Collecting copayments and other financial transactions

• Verifying patient details through interviews; reviewing and documenting medical and medication histories; taking vital signs; confirming the purpose of visits or treatments.

• Completing patient records by documenting examinations, treatments, and test outcomes.

• Providing clerical assistance and undertaking any additional projects assigned by the office manager.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

• Ability to work independently with confidence.

• Openness to managing existing patients while also welcoming new patients.

• Experience: Minimum of one year required

• Additional skills: Proficient computer skills, familiarity with EMR systems, and the ability to cater to behavioral health populations across various age groups.
