Retail Customer Support Associate

Role Summary: The Retail Customer Support Associate will ensure a pleasant and efficient check-out experience for customers. This position is responsible for managing customer exchanges, returns, and addressing complaints, while empowering Cashiers to exceed customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate a swift and effective check-out process by operating the cash register and scanner to accurately itemize and total customer purchases.
- Address customer exchanges, returns, and complaints with professionalism and efficiency.
- Act as a resource for cashiers by assisting with transactions, resolving discrepancies, and troubleshooting cash register issues.
- Engage with customers in a welcoming manner, ensuring a positive interaction throughout the transaction.
- Demonstrate an outgoing and engaging personality, with a genuine love for working with people.
- Process various monetary transactions, including cash, checks, gift cards, and credit/debit cards.
- Promote the Extended Protection Policy for qualifying items.
- Communicate effectively with the Manager on Duty and merchandise teams regarding out-of-stock items at check-out lanes.
- Maintain knowledge of store offerings to assist customers with inquiries.
- Efficiently restock items and ensure that assigned areas are always presentable.
- Deliver an exceptional shopping experience for all customers.
- Promote Fleet Farm's customer loyalty program, credit card, and other initiatives positively.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Familiarity with basic cash handling procedures and simple math is essential.
