Role Overview:

The Retail Customer Support Associate will ensure a welcoming and efficient check-out process. This role involves managing customer exchanges, returns, and addressing any concerns that may arise. You will also empower and motivate Cashiers to exceed customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a swift and efficient check-out experience by operating the cash register and scanner to accurately total purchases and package items.
  • Effectively manage customer exchanges, returns, and resolve complaints.
  • Act as a resource for Cashiers by assisting with transactions, addressing discrepancies, and troubleshooting any cash register issues.
  • Engage with customers in a warm and friendly manner, ensuring a pleasant interaction throughout the transaction.
  • Cashiers should be approachable and enthusiastic, with a genuine love for working with people.
  • Process various monetary transactions, including cash, checks, gift cards, and credit/debit cards.
  • Promote the Extended Protection Policy for qualifying items.
  • Communicate effectively with the Manager on Duty and merchandise teams regarding out-of-stock items at the check-out and front areas.
  • Maintain knowledge of store offerings to assist customers with inquiries.
  • Restock items promptly and accurately, ensuring your designated area is always tidy.
  • Provide an outstanding shopping experience for all customers.
  • Promote Fleet Farm's customer loyalty program, credit card, and other company initiatives positively.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays is essential.
  • Familiarity with basic cash handling procedures and simple math is required.
