POSITION OVERVIEW:

A Lead Culinary Specialist is tasked with overseeing the kitchen operations to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction. This role may involve managing the opening or closing procedures of the establishment.

The Lead Culinary Specialist will guarantee adherence to all Fudpucker's policies and protocols concerning food quality, portion management, team member safety, kitchen hygiene, and overall customer experience.

This position also supports the front-of-house management team with daily operational tasks as needed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Inspires the culinary team to achieve sales targets by training and mentoring staff to deliver exceptional service to all patrons, including onboarding and guiding new employees.
  • Allocates workstations, conducts quality assurance checks, and ensures tasks are completed within an appropriate timeframe.
  • Upholds compliance with Fudpucker's established policies and procedures.
  • Assists in inventory management and control, including waste reduction strategies.
  • Maintains cleanliness and adheres to food safety regulations by properly handling ingredients and ensuring correct storage practices are followed.
  • Ensures that cooking surfaces and equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized at the conclusion of each shift.
  • Verifies that inventory audits and food storage documentation are accurately completed.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by management.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of three to five years of experience in roles such as line cook, restaurant cook, or prep cook.
  • Culinary Arts certification is preferred.
  • Proficient in various cooking techniques and procedures.
  • Ability to work flexible hours throughout the week.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Must be able to communicate effectively with vendors, guests, and team members.
  • Must be capable of standing for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to forty pounds.
