Job Overview:

Compunnel Inc. is seeking a skilled Configuration Management Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for managing changes to approved configurations using a systematic and measurable change process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain the engineering technical data package (TDP) and apply configuration management processes in accordance with the CM Plan.
  • Support configuration management and quality audits, and develop solutions to problems of moderate scope and complexity.
  • Communicate effectively with functional personnel in Engineering, Quality, Logistics, Procurement, and Manufacturing.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with company personnel, customers, and suppliers.

Requirements:

  • Typically a bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and 4+ years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience using a database and good computer skills with MS Office suite to prepare metrics, reports, and documents.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, with attention to detail and good time management and organization skills.
  • Sound interpersonal skills for interfacing and coordinating with company personnel, customers, and suppliers.

Preferred Skills:

  • Formal training in Configuration Data Management (CDM) and MS Excel advanced user knowledge of complex formulas.
  • Familiarity with CMMI requirements and ability to develop/demonstrate research and presentation skills.
  • Experience using Windchill to manage product data.
