We are seeking a skilled and compassionate RN to join our team as a Cancer Research Infusion Specialist at Swedish Health Services. As a key member of our infusion team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the advancement of cancer research.
Key Responsibilities- Assessment and Planning: Collect and interpret patient data to identify needs and potential problems, and develop individualized care plans with measurable outcomes.
- Infusion Therapy: Administer chemotherapy and other medications, and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
- Patient Education: Provide education to patients and families on cancer treatment options, side effects, and self-care techniques.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work effectively with healthcare teams, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure seamless patient care.
- Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and infusion services.
- Education: Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- Licensure: Current Washington State RN license.
- Certifications: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association, and successful completion of the Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration within 90 days of hire.
- Experience: At least 1 year of infusion oncology nursing experience.
