Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center (Fred Hutch) is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse - Oncology to join our team. As a Clinical Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the development of our cancer treatment programs.
Responsibilities:
- Assess patients' physical, emotional, and social needs, and develop individualized care plans
- Administer chemotherapy and other medications, and monitor patients for potential side effects
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care coordination and communication
- Provide education and support to patients and their families, and facilitate their understanding of treatment options and outcomes
Requirements:
- Current Washington State Registered Nurse (RN) license or multistate RN license
- ONS Chemotherapy Provider Card (required within 3 months of hire)
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- Certification in oncology or specialty practice area
- 2 years of RN Oncology experience in an ambulatory infusion setting
