Position Overview:

The Insurance Services Customer Support Specialist plays a crucial role in assisting Sales Representatives, Sales Assistants, and clients with both new and renewal insurance accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily operations, including preparing quotes for policy modifications, processing changes, maintaining detailed customer transaction records, handling certificate requests, filing claims, and addressing inquiries regarding policies and coverage explanations.
  • Quote, maintain, and renew house accounts efficiently.
  • Respond to client inquiries through verbal communication, email, or written correspondence.
  • Ensure services adhere to established company standards for quality and productivity.
  • Support sales representatives with submissions and binding coverage, including proposals, marketing, and data entry using AMS/EPIC.
  • Communicate with clients regarding underwriting requirements and premium financing, explaining policy provisions and client responsibilities. Assess risks and provide recommendations for risk management. Maintain communication with clients and insurance companies concerning ongoing service, policy modifications, claims, and customer satisfaction.
  • Follow up on outstanding items from carriers or clients.
  • Collect down payments necessary for binding additional coverage or modifications to existing policies. Process customer receipts, prepare invoices, and record payments to ensure accurate accounting. Responsible for collecting overdue balances.
  • Maintain monthly reports on policies and spreadsheets.
  • Assist the Insurance Service Representative with all tasks assigned to the Sales Representative.
  • Keep accurate records as required by the agency and insurance companies, ensuring accessibility for agency personnel in compliance with standard business practices and applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Provide customer education as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree.
  • A minimum of 1.5 to 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role. Equivalent combinations of education and training may be considered.
  • Position requires a Texas General Lines P & C license, which must be obtained within 60 days of employment.
  • General Lines P & C license and/or other specific licenses mandated by the State Board of Insurance must be maintained in compliance with state requirements.
