Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the classroom teacher in implementing lesson plans and instructional activities.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, including those with individualized education plans (IEPs) or special needs.
  • Help students with assignments, projects, and activities, ensuring understanding and engagement.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and student success.
  • Monitor student progress and behavior, documenting observations as needed.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other support staff to develop and implement strategies for student success.
  • Assist with classroom management and organization, including maintaining materials and resources.
  • Provide support during transitions, lunchtime, recess, and other non-instructional periods as needed.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.


Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will need a high school diploma or equivalent, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience working with children or adolescents in an educational setting is preferred, but not required. You should also be able to follow directions, work independently, and collaborate effectively as part of a team.
