Position: Cloud Security and Compliance Specialist

Location: Irvine, CA (5 days onsite) - RELOCATION SERVICES AVAILABLE

We are seeking a Cloud Security and Compliance Specialist to fortify the security of our cloud infrastructures (AWS, Azure, OCI), implement compliance measures, and effectively convey security protocols and policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and oversee cloud security solutions and processes across multi-cloud (AWS, Azure, OCI) and hybrid cloud environments.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate cloud infrastructure for vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and unusual activities.
  • Implement and maintain cloud security tools for threat detection, incident management, and access control.
  • Develop and enforce cloud security policies and procedures that align with industry best practices and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with development, engineering, and operations teams to integrate security best practices into the DevSecOps lifecycle (CI/CD).
  • Lead and participate in cloud security audits and penetration testing to ensure compliance and identify areas for enhancement.
  • Manage and respond to security incidents in accordance with established protocols.
  • Stay informed on emerging cloud security threats, vulnerabilities, and compliance regulations.
  • Effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders regarding cloud security posture and compliance obligations.
  • Work with external auditors to ensure successful completion of security and compliance assessments.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud security and/or compliance engineering roles.
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing and maintaining security and compliance programs.
  • Familiarity with relevant security compliance regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI DSS, GDPR).
  • Strong understanding of security best practices, including penetration testing methodologies and risk management.
  • Experience with security tools and technologies (e.g., vulnerability scanners, SIEM, IDS/IPS).
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in cloud security on AWS, Azure, OCI.
  • Experience operating and maintaining Palo Alto Networks VM-Series NGFW.
  • Experience in security policy development and management.

Compensation: Depending on experience level, there are two types of roles available. The mid-level position offers a salary range of $100,000-140,000 a year plus bonus. The Senior level position offers a salary range of $140,000-180,000 a year plus bonus.
