Position: Skilled Speech Language Pathologist

We are seeking a Skilled Speech Language Pathologist to become an integral part of our healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and delivering exceptional Speech and Language Therapy Services to our clients. Your specialized knowledge will ensure that our residents receive the highest standard of care.

Key Qualifications:

  • Possess a valid and unrestricted license to practice as a Speech Language Therapist
  • No record of involvement in fraudulent activities or listings on exclusion databases
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal, with strong computer skills
  • Exhibit expertise and skills tailored to the age-related needs of residents
  • Capable of making independent decisions and interacting with diverse individuals with tact
  • Well-versed in speech therapy methodologies and proficient in documentation
  • Demonstrated leadership and collaborative abilities
  • Effectively plan, organize, and execute speech therapy programs
  • Maintain cleanliness and functionality of therapy spaces and equipment
  • Show patience, tact, and enthusiasm when engaging with residents

Work Environment:

  • Work is conducted in various settings including offices, therapy rooms, and resident accommodations
  • Frequent movement and adaptability to interruptions are required
  • Effective communication with multiple stakeholders is essential
  • Engagement in ongoing educational opportunities is expected
  • Constant vigilance for resident safety is necessary
  • Collaboration with other departments to address residents' therapy needs is vital

Performance Metrics:

  • Assist in standardizing therapy techniques utilizing outcome measurement tools
  • Plan, develop, organize, assess, and deliver therapy services in compliance with regulations
  • Maintain therapy standards, contribute to discharge planning, and participate in resident care plans
  • Conduct therapy assessments, keep treatment records, and ensure timely submission of charges
  • Perform assigned duties while upholding resident confidentiality and adhering to work protocols

Educational Background & Experience:

  • Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence or equivalent certification
  • Preferred experience of two (2) years in a related healthcare setting

Physical and Sensory Demands:

  • Mobility throughout the workday is required
  • Effective communication in English is essential
  • Ability to manage the mental, emotional, and physical demands of the position
  • Must function independently with integrity
  • Meet general health standards and assist in emergency situations
  • Willingness to work with a diverse population is necessary
