Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant

Location: North Highlands, California

Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join our team. The SLPA will work under the guidance of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to assist in the assessment, treatment, and intervention of communication disorders in students. This role requires a compassionate professional committed to helping students reach their communication goals.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in conducting screenings and assessments to evaluate students' communication abilities.
  • Implement individualized treatment plans and intervention strategies to address communication disorders.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students in various settings.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and professionals to support students' communication skills.
  • Assist in setting communication goals and objectives for students.
  • Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions and student progress.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or related field.
  • Completion of a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant program approved by the California Board.
  • Valid California state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant.
  • Previous experience in a school or educational setting preferred.
  • Knowledge of assessment tools and intervention strategies.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
