Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Ophthalmic Assistant to join our team at CEENTA. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will provide exceptional support to our physicians, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical and administrative support to our physicians, including preparing patients for exams, obtaining medical histories, and documenting patient information.
  • Assist with patient examinations, treatments, and in-office procedures, maintaining a clean and sterile environment.
  • Order and maintain stock of medical supplies, ensuring a well-stocked and organized clinical area.
  • Respond to patient messages and prescription refill requests, providing excellent customer service.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate records, including patient charts and medical histories.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; one to three years' experience as an ophthalmic assistant preferred.
  • Graduate of an International Council of Accreditation (ICA) accredited clinical training program or completion of an International Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology (IJCAHPO) or American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) independent study course preferred.
  • Current Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) or Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) certification from the IJCAHPO preferred.
