About the Role

AEG is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Manager to join our team at the Midland RockHounds. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the production of live events, including game operations, video production, and advertising/media relations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Game Operations
    • Develop and implement game night scripts, incorporating sponsor and corporate elements
    • Oversee video production and entertainment, including video board content and live camera operations
    • Collaborate with the promotions team to review and execute game night scripts
    • Direct all elements of game night show production, including video boards, scoring, public address system, entertainment, and broadcast
    • Manage the press box crew, including hiring, training, and supervision
    • Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of press box equipment, including video boards, cameras, computers, and broadcast equipment
  • Advertising/Media Relations
    • Develop video commercials for television advertising
    • Collect and maintain player headshots for use in media relations
    • Assist the media relations director with press conference preparations, press release content, and media requests
  • Video/Graphic Production
    • Develop new video pieces for in-game and web use, including intro videos, highlights, interviews, and promotional pieces
    • Maintain the club's YouTube page
    • Design video board layouts and create graphics/animations for in-game use
    • Work with the social media team to create content for social media
    • Record and log all gameday footage for club use
Requirements
  • Minimum of two years of production experience, preferably in sports or live events
  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and Premiere
  • Ability to work effectively on an individual basis and within a team framework
  • Strong work ethic and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays in an outdoor environment
