Position Overview

Wallick Communities is in search of a skilled Project Manager for Construction to oversee a new apartment development project. This role encompasses the management of all stages of a construction initiative. These values include: Care Character Collaboration Key Contributions: In alignment with the Wallick Mission and Values, this role will collaborate with Project Managers to oversee various new construction and renovation projects across multiple locations. Responsibilities Include: Conducting feasibility reviews and participating in design phase meetings. Developing conceptual, preliminary, and final budgets for projects. Assisting in the preparation of estimates; performing precise take-offs and evaluating bids. Coordinating all construction site activities and supervising field staff to ensure timely and budget-compliant project completion. Awarding contracts and purchase orders for necessary labor, materials, and equipment. Guiding Construction Superintendents to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards. Promoting safe work practices and addressing any site hazards. Ensuring compliance with all building codes, accessibility standards, and energy requirements. Overseeing project schedules and proactively identifying and resolving potential issues. Preparing monthly payment applications and managing change order requests and related documentation. Monitoring budgets, revenue, profits, and cash flow. Maintaining positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers. Managing the project closeout process and warranty adherence. Desired Qualifications: We seek a candidate with the following skills and experiences: A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related discipline. A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. A comprehensive understanding of the construction industry. Previous experience in multi-family housing construction is essential. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel. Familiarity with project management software is highly desirable.
