Position Summary

The Superintendent is accountable for overseeing all aspects of the construction project, which includes coordinating subcontractors, materials, and equipment. This role ensures that project specifications are meticulously followed while maintaining adherence to schedules and budgets. The Superintendent is also responsible for scheduling, inspections, quality assurance, and job site safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary liaison with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors for daily construction activities.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive project work schedules, identifying critical paths and expediting the timely delivery of essential materials and equipment.
  • Establish and manage the overall site safety program, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Make informed decisions regarding work performance related to scheduling, logistics, quality control, and staffing levels.
  • Oversee collaboration among all trades to ensure a seamless project operation.
  • Serve as the point of contact for inspection agencies.
  • Manage General Conditions and Requirements to maintain project budgets.
  • Oversee the billing process related to work completed, including payrolls, material invoices, and subcontractor payments.
  • Ensure that all work is executed in accordance with approved contract documents.
  • Possess a solid understanding of construction methods, safety protocols, scheduling, quality assurance, and project documentation.
  • Collaborate with the Estimating/Preconstruction Team on project schedules, logistics, safety, and constructability reviews.

Education & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Science or Construction Management is preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Extensive experience in commercial upfit/interior renovations and MEP system installations is preferred.
  • Proven ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Capable of managing tight deadlines and accurately forecasting project budgets.
  • Self-motivated, well-organized, and effective communicator.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
  • Commitment to job site cleanliness.
  • Ability to work in occupied spaces.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Word and Outlook.
  • Experience with Procore is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities.
  • OSHA Training is required.
