Job Summary

Carolina Design & Construction is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee the coordination of all phases of commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction supervision, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with project teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Scheduling and Coordination
    • Schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors to ensure timely completion of projects.
    • Coordinate with project teams to ensure that specifications are being strictly followed and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget.
  • Quality Control and Assurance
    • Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work being performed.
    • Ensure that subcontractors are fully executing and complying with their contracted scope of work.
  • Communication and Documentation
    • Communicate with project teams regarding ASI's, RFI's, and Material Submittals using Procore.
    • Maintain Daily Logs in Procore of activities on the jobsite.
  • Project Management
    • Preside over weekly subcontractor meetings to coordinate work.
    • Issue notices of non-compliance to subcontractors regarding quality of work or scheduling.
    • Ensure that the job site is always kept in a clean and organized manner.
  • Secondary Responsibilities
    • Assist in budgeting, bidding, and award of subcontracts.
    • Assist in obtaining permits or approval of revisions.
    • Gather project material submittals and maintain records of approvals at the job-site.
    • Coordinate owner specifications with marketing staff.
    • Identify areas of work that are outside of subcontracted scope.
    • Preside at pre-construction meetings with each subcontractor.
    • Open and secure the jobsite at the beginning and end of each day.
    • Assist in hiring sub-tier employees.
    Requirements
    • Must be proficient with Procore Project Management program.
    • Must have strong computer and mobile technology skills.
    • Must be capable of creating and managing a CPM schedule using web-based applications.
    • At least 5 years of onsite commercial project supervision experience required.
