Job Overview

A leading international law firm is seeking a highly experienced Senior Talent Acquisition Manager to lead its global recruiting and talent development efforts. This key role will be responsible for developing, implementing, and advancing state-of-the-art legal talent management programs that attract, develop, and retain the highest caliber legal talent.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of professional talent management trends and be able to work collaboratively with senior firm leadership to drive innovation in talent acquisition and development initiatives.

About the Role

This strategic position reports to the Chief Operating Officer and will work closely with the firm Chairman, Co-Managing Partners, Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer, Chief Human Resources Officer, Practice Management, the Management Committee, and other leadership within the firm.

The Senior Talent Acquisition Manager will oversee a team of approximately 25 staff members through four direct reports and manage departmental operations to foster high standards and excellent service.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Talent Development: Develop and implement state-of-the-art legal talent management programs that attract, develop, and retain top-tier legal talent.
  2. Resource Hub: Create a comprehensive resource hub tailored to 'the Associate experience' at the firm, providing valuable information and tools to support lawyers throughout their careers.
  3. Thought Leadership: Establish the firm as a thought leader in global recruiting and development programs by identifying best practices, collaborating with industry experts, and driving innovation in talent management.
  4. Partnerships: Develop strategic partnerships with external stakeholders in legal talent recruiting, including law schools, professional organizations, and recruitment agencies.
  5. Diversity & Inclusion: Collaborate with the Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer to advance diversity and inclusion initiatives, ensuring that the firm's talent management programs promote a culture of inclusivity and respect.
  6. Performance Enhancement: Develop and implement programs to enhance the performance of the firm's lawyers, leveraging data and analytics to drive business outcomes.
  7. Team Management: Lead and manage a team of professionals to deliver exceptional results, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
About You
  • You hold a Bachelor's degree (or higher) and have a minimum of 15 years of broad-based talent management experience, with a proven track record of success in a similar role.
  • You possess deep knowledge of professional talent management trends, strategic thinking, and analytical skills, enabling you to drive innovation and make informed decisions.
  • You are an effective communicator and presenter, with the ability to build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, partners, and colleagues.
  • You have experience managing budgets, resources, and teams to achieve business objectives, ensuring efficient use of resources and maximum ROI.
