Transformative Talent Acquisition Role

The NAACP Legal Defense & Educational Fund, Inc. is the country's pioneering civil and human rights law organization. The organization operates in a hybrid work environment, where employees are expected to spend a minimum of two days per week in the office, unless otherwise specified.

Responsibilities:
  • Talent Acquisition:
  • Develop a recruitment process aligned with the organization's business objectives and hiring needs.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to create job descriptions and recruitment strategies that attract top talent.
  • Source candidates from various online and offline platforms to ensure a diverse pool of applicants.
  • Share best practices, provide critical support, and coordinate initiatives with hiring managers to streamline the recruitment process.
  • Actively seek to diversify talent and deepen the organizational culture by promoting inclusion and diversity.
  • Oversee the updating of the applicant tracking system (UKG) to ensure seamless candidate management.
  • Work closely with senior directors to develop an annual recruitment budget that aligns with organizational goals.
  • Training and Development:
  • Design training paths for new hires and collaborate with departments to identify ongoing training needs.
  • Analyze current and future training requirements through career path analysis and annual feedback programs.
  • Collaborate with leadership to design training and development programs that address organizational development goals.
  • Evaluate and monitor training programs to ensure success and follow up to ensure training objectives are met.
Requirements:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply relevant state, local, and labor laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
  • Ability to understand the organization's hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and administrative procedures.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when necessary.
  • Ability to function well in a high-pressure and sometimes stressful environment.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, UKG Pro, and ATS or related software.
Qualifications:
  • 5-7 years of experience in talent acquisition.
  • Experience in developing training programs.
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred.
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) preferred.
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state employment laws.
Salary Range:

$126,700 - $160,900
