Position Overview

As a Healthcare Support Specialist (RN, LPN, MA, or EMT), your primary responsibility will be to deliver exceptional patient support and communication, ensuring a positive patient experience that fosters satisfaction, trust, and loyalty to our organization.

You will be accountable for welcoming patients and preparing them for their appointments, providing them with essential information regarding their visit, and clearly communicating the services they will receive.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct point-of-care laboratory tests, EKGs as needed, suture/staple removal, dressing changes, and other patient care tasks.
  • Collect and document vital signs, medical histories, and screenings.
  • Authorize prescription refills as directed.
  • Prepare patients, treatment rooms, and necessary supplies for examinations.
  • Perform phlebotomy and ensure proper processing of specimens.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment rooms and equipment.

Building Trust

Demonstrate kindness and compassion in all interactions with patients, ensuring a supportive environment.

Conduct quality control and equipment checks regularly.

Engage in brand marketing efforts, focusing on enhancing patient volume and experience.

Innovative Care

Prepare and administer medications as directed by the Provider, adhering to the Rights of Vaccine or Medication Administration.

Provide patients with guidance regarding their medications and dietary needs.

Qualifications

Certified Medical Assistant or eligible within 90 days of hire, or possess an unencumbered license as an LVN/LPN, RN License, or EMT Certification.

A minimum of 1 year of experience is preferred, with phlebotomy experience required.

Current BLS certification for healthcare providers is preferred and must be obtained within 90 days of employment.

A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

Experience in primary care, family practice, internal medicine, urgent care, or emergency room settings is preferred.

The base compensation range for this role varies based on qualifications and experience. VillageMD offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, and access to a 401k plan.
