Overview

At Change Healthcare, we are committed to delivering exceptional patient service and ensuring the timely receipt of claims payments. As a Patient Service Representative Level 2, you will play a critical role in communicating with patients and insurance companies to resolve billing discrepancies and minimize bad debt accrual.

Responsibilities
  • Handle patient and insurance inquiries associated with specific patient accounts, including identification and resolution of billing discrepancies.
  • Effectively communicate with inbound and outbound guarantors/patients or insurance companies to resolve account issues.
  • Adhere to HIPAA, PCI, and Change Healthcare policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for working self-pay or insurance receivables and related payments to optimize cash flow and meet organizational financial goals.
  • Establish budget plans or payment arrangements with established guidelines and policies.
  • Accurately document all follow-up activities pertaining to each specific account.
  • Handle escalation calls/accounts as necessary and de-escalate calls to ensure patient/client satisfaction.
Requirements
  • 1+ years of medical revenue cycle experience.
  • Experience with patient information/claims system reimbursement processes.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
Skills
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of healthcare billing and collection practices and methodologies.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Good math skills and ability to read, understand, and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Basic computer skills, including Internet Explorer, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.
Work Environment

Must be willing to work until 9pm Eastern time. Various flexible schedules are available, including 4x10 schedules, split shifts, and 2nd shifts.
