Position Summary:

The Equipment Maintenance Specialist is responsible for the upkeep and operation of proprietary vacuum-based coating machinery utilized in the production of silicon nanowire anode materials.

The ideal candidate should demonstrate reliability, teamwork, and possess experience in maintaining vacuum systems.

This role reports directly to the Director of Equipment Engineering and is classified as a temporary position with potential for permanent placement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize small tools and equipment to service vacuum-based coating machinery.
  • Safely and efficiently operate large-scale equipment.
  • Adhere to complex operational procedures and guidelines.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization within the work environment.
  • Input relevant data into database management systems.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with vacuum-based semiconductor production machinery is preferred.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair equipment issues.
  • Proficient in the use of hand tools and production machinery.
  • Capable of following standard operating procedures and suggesting enhancements.
  • Basic computer literacy with accurate data entry skills.
  • Accountable for the quality of work performed.
  • Exhibit a strong attention to detail.

Education & Experience:

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.

One (1) year of relevant experience is preferred.

Work Schedule:
This position involves a night shift on an alternating weekly schedule.

Alternate Workweek Schedule: 3 days x 12 hours / 4 days x 12 hours every other week.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

Fremont, CA:
This is an on-site role. A reliable commute or plans to relocate prior to employment is necessary.

Candidates must be able to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

Job duties may require standing, sitting, squatting, bending, kneeling, twisting, crawling, reaching, lifting, balancing, pushing, and pulling as needed.


Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as lab coats, gloves, safety glasses, face masks, respirators, and safety shoes will be required.

Compensation & Benefits:

Salary:
$32.00 per hour (Dependent on Experience)
