POSITION SUMMARY:

  • Responsible for the maintenance and preventative care of manufacturing equipment.
  • Engage in troubleshooting and resolving mechanical issues as they arise.
  • Provide recommendations for equipment enhancements and improvements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct preventative maintenance and basic repairs on all production and facility machinery, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal efficiency.
  • Availability for irregular hours and weekends based on production and maintenance requirements.
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to advance within the role.
  • Assist with plant shutdowns and startups as necessary.
  • Manage parts and material requisitions effectively.
  • Execute specialized maintenance tasks as required.
  • Assess and prioritize the maintenance schedule to align with operational needs.
  • Possess a general understanding of robotics functions and operations.
  • Work independently when required.
  • Supervise and mentor junior maintenance staff during machinery repairs and installations.
  • Assume Maintenance Supervisor duties when necessary.
  • Support the Maintenance Supervisor in planning and decision-making processes.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and instructions diligently.
  • Identify and report any non-conformities in products, processes, and quality systems.
  • Manage nonconforming products appropriately.
  • Contribute to the implementation of corrective and preventive actions for continuous improvement.
  • Familiarize with and comply with the Crown Quality System and its relevance to this position.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficient in mathematics and blueprint reading.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This position operates within an industrial manufacturing environment, utilizing various industrial tools and equipment while working near moving mechanical parts. The role may involve exposure to extreme temperatures and requires the use of a respirator as needed.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The physical demands of this role include standing or walking for extended periods, bending, twisting, and lifting up to 75 pounds occasionally. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and depth perception.

WORK SCHEDULE:

This is a full-time position with a standard workweek of Monday through Friday, requiring flexibility for overtime and on-call duties as needed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • High school diploma with seven years of maintenance experience or a technical degree with five years of relevant experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of maintenance practices and 480-volt three-phase electricity.
  • Familiarity with HVAC systems and PLC controls.
