Industrial Equipment Maintenance Specialist

Position Summary:
- Responsible for the maintenance and preventative upkeep of manufacturing equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues as they arise.
- Provide recommendations for equipment enhancements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine preventative maintenance and repairs on all production and facility machinery, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
- Be available for irregular hours and weekends based on operational needs.
- Participate in ongoing training and development for career advancement.
- Assist with plant shutdowns and restarts.
- Manage parts and materials requisitioning.
- Execute specialized maintenance tasks as required.
- Assess and prioritize maintenance schedules effectively.
- Possess a general understanding of robotic systems and their operations.
- Work independently when necessary.
- Guide and mentor junior maintenance staff during machinery repairs and installations.
- Assume Maintenance Supervisor duties as needed.
- Support the Maintenance Supervisor in strategic planning and decision-making.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Identify and report any non-conformities in products, processes, or quality systems.
- Assist in managing nonconforming products.
- Contribute to the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Familiarize with and comply with the Crown Quality System and its relevance to this role.

Required Skills:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Proficient in mathematics and blueprint interpretation.
Work Environment:
This position operates within an industrial manufacturing environment, utilizing various tools and equipment, and involves exposure to moving mechanical parts and seasonal temperature variations.
Physical Requirements:
Employees must be capable of standing or walking for extended periods, lifting up to 75 pounds occasionally, and performing tasks that require bending, twisting, and climbing.
Work Schedule:
This is a full-time role with a standard schedule of Monday through Friday, including potential overtime and flexible shifts as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or equivalent with significant maintenance experience, or a technical degree with relevant experience.
- Advanced knowledge of maintenance practices and electrical systems.
- Familiarity with HVAC systems and PLC controls.
