Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with NOAA's Office of Aquaculture, NCCOS, and Regional Aquaculture Coordinators to identify opportunities for social science and siting analysis tools.
- Advise NOAA's Office of Aquaculture on data collection needs for Aquaculture Opportunity Areas management and aquaculture siting.
- Develop guidance documents and protocols for conducting social impact analysis for identifying Alaska Aquaculture Opportunity Areas.
- Deliver detailed reports providing an analysis of social issues and impacts related to Alaska Aquaculture Opportunity Areas.
- Master's degree in Social Science or related field.
- Experience in social impact assessment, trade-off analysis, and qualitative research methods.
- Knowledge of NEPA and ecosystem-based management principles.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Ph.D. in Social Science or related field.
- Experience in Alaska coastal communities.
- Public trust security clearance.
